DIVINE APPOINTMENT

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.Exodus 4:14-15

When God set Moses apart at birth for the deliverance of Israelites, He did not include Aaron in the plan apart from Aaron rendering the assistance of a brother (sibling support); but a situation that could have caused Moses’ destruction (God’s anger), brought an executive vacancy for Aaron to fill.

The above verses brought to my mind, God’s words that say “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy”. Moses’ excuses could have brought punishment but maybe God knew Moses’ fear was genuine or God did not have time to change plans. Whatever the reason, God did not think of reprimanding Moses in any way but of an instant and acceptable solution.

I am sure Aaron was chosen for several reasons apart from being Moses’ brother (and speech ability) but his trust in God would be a deciding factor which was seen as he accepted his brother’s mission without doubt and played his part. One way or the other, we might have heard of unexpected/life-transforming favours and we yearn for such in our lives but to experience such, we must be in right stand with our creator among other things and trust in Him alone….No divided heart, No doubting mind. Complete trust. Submit to His will.

Accept Christ, Follow Him, Obey His words, Be a committed member of His Army and His mercy will locate you for a life-transforming miracle in His vineyard.

Shalom!
